Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee mechanical construction projects from planning to completion. You’ll work with the Installations Manager, Estimator, Foremen, and project teams to coordinate schedules, materials, documentation, budgets, and day-to-day needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in engineering, construction management, or project management preferred but not required.
• Experience in project management, construction management, or field engineering.
• Ability to read and scale architectural and mechanical plans.
• General knowledge HVAC installation (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and Bluebeam.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Estimator, Department Manager, and Installations Foreman.
• Assist Estimator in reviewing plans and specifications for accurate bidding.
• Process job number requests, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Manage project documentation, materials, status monitoring, billing, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure goals are met.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
