Kauai Mechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Hawaii. You will coordinate schedules, review plans with the Estimator, and work with Foremen and project teams to keep projects moving forward.

Ideal candidates read plans, manage documentation, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. This role emphasizes organization, detail-orientation, and collaboration across field and office teams to support commercial HVAC construction projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical education a plus
• Experience in project or construction management preferred
• Ability to read and scale architectural and mechanical plans
• General knowledge of HVAC installation is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Estimator, Department Manager, and Installations Foreman
• Assist in reviewing plans and specifications for accurate bidding
• Process job number requests, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Manage project documentation, materials, status monitoring, billing and invoicing
• Coordinate with team to create work schedules and assign tasks
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
