Job summary

Harkins Builders, Inc. seeks a project engineer on a career path to become an assistant project manager. You will work with the project manager, assistant PM, and lead superintendent on field assignments, preconstruction, contract follow-up, and site set-up.

You will lead on-site personnel, coordinate schedules, read plans, and ensure compliance with contract documents. Procore and MS Office familiarity, strong communication, and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or related discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience in field construction.
• Proficient with construction terminology, general contracts, and subcontracts.
• Proficient with reading, interpreting, and modifying construction plans/specs as it relates to the general contract.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage assigned personnel effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project manager, assistant project manager, or lead superintendent in field assignment.
• Lead, manage, and instruct on-site personnel, providing a positive work environment with growth opportunities.
• Read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure construction per Contract Documents.
• Coordinate and maintain activities of a jobsite office and use technology to aid duties.
• Develop, manipulate, and maintain project schedules; manage cost reporting and documentation.
