Job summary

Intertek, a world leader in quality and safety solutions, seeks a Project Engineer, General Safety in Fridley, MN to evaluate power generation equipment against industry standards, create test plans, witness testing, and resolve technical issues. The role requires travel up to 25% and involves coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $95,000 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Required).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of codes and standards for EUT.
• Understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Validate project scope and sample applicability.
• Identify test instruments and equipment required for testing.
• Set up and operate standard test equipment and build/test fixtures.
• Conduct thorough construction review and document results.
• Perform product testing per standards (rated, leakage, dielectric, etc.).
• Provide information for quotes and sales support.
• Communicate project status and test results to clients and management.
• Mentor less senior personnel and perform other duties as needed.
