Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks a Site Operations Manager to oversee the Electrical lab in Fridley, Minnesota. You will manage staff, drive P&L performance, and steer revenue growth.

This role requires a Bachelors in Engineering or a technical field, 5 years operations management, and willingness to travel up to 15%. Onsite work with strong leadership and budget oversight is essential.

What are we looking for?

The Site Operations Manager is responsible for the management of staff, hitting P&L targets, and revenue growth/EBIT for a specified region or location within North America. This position has the potential for 15% travel.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $120K to $175K. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee lab within an assigned location.
• Responsible for the revenue/cost/EBIT for the location and drive towards maximization.
• Identify/develop/improve processes to enhance and maximize efficiencies and margin/expense.
• Coordinate with other working groups to create synergies and reach and exceed targeted goals.
• Mentor and develop management staff by setting appropriate goals and objectives.
• Work with Team to hit key KPIs and service level indicators.
• Make business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives.
• Investigate and promote new business opportunities.
• Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degreein Engineering, Management or technical discipline
• 5 years of operations management experience in a technical or engineering environment
• 3 years of experience with budget management and P&L responsibility
• Excellent interpersonal and demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and written
• Excellent leadership and management, mentoring and coaching skills
• Must be willing to work onsite
• Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Management experience in a testing or product development laboratory
