Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Project Engineer, General Safety for Fridley, Minnesota to join our Electrical team. You will evaluate power-generation equipment against standards, create test plans, witness testing, and report results while traveling as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office. Intertek offers robust benefits and career growth within a global QA network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years’ relatable experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as business dictates.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT.
• Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Validate project scope and sample applicability.
• Set up and operate standard test equipment and build/calibrate test fixtures.
• Perform testing of products per standards and document results.
• Provide quotes input and sales support when needed.
• Mentor less senior technical personnel and communicate status to clients.
