Job summary

Intertek, a world leader in quality and safety solutions, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join its Electrical team in Cortland, New York. The role involves independent testing and evaluation to U.S., Canadian and international standards, report writing, and client communication with travel up to 50%.

The position offers a base salary between $90k and $110k, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on electrical circuits and renewable energy.
• 4+ years of experience in directly related field.
• Microsoft Office software experience is a must have.
• Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety and others' at work.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Read and understand client-provided or published performance or product safety standards.
