Job summary

You will provide project management and technical direction to ensure timely, high-quality implementation of new products across global markets.

The role emphasizes design for manufacturability, testing, quality compliance, and collaboration with engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical engineering principles and product development.
• Experience in plastic tooling and consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily communications to align all groups for timely project completion.
• Communicate technical details to engineers and non-technical team members, locally and internationally.
• Drive design of products to meet market-driven design guides and mass production requirements.
• Analyze, evaluate and select design execution alternatives to best meet specification objectives and implement designs into mass production.
• Accountable for technical elements of product execution including materials, packaging and safety, as well as regulatory and standards compliance.
• Write general and detailed specifications (i.e., product, performance and testing specifications) and refine requirements.
• Conduct design and safety reviews to gain approvals for development phase progression.
• Drive quality compliance using tools such as FMEA, DOE, DFx, CAD analysis and 3D design tools.
• Initiate and follow patent searches to assure infringement clearance and participate in patent development.
• Other duties as assigned.
