Job summary

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment in Anderson, SC is seeking a Project Engineer to manage multiple projects from concept to mass production. You will guide technical direction and ensure timely implementation of new products within an international team based in Anderson, SC.

The role emphasizes communication across engineers and non-technical teams, design for manufacturability, and rigorous design reviews to meet cost, timing and quality targets. A BS in mechanical engineering is required.

Qualifications

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience managing multiple projects from concept to mass production.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Patent search experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct daily communications to ensure timely project completion and coordination across teams.
Drive product design to meet cost, timing, reliability and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
Evaluate design options to meet specifications and enable mass production.
Oversee technical elements of product execution including materials, packaging, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Write product, performance and testing specifications and refine requirements accordingly.
Conduct design and safety reviews to gain approvals for development stages.
Drive quality compliance using V&FMEA, DOE, DFM, CAD analyses.
Initiate and follow patent searches; contribute to patent development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
