Job summary

Abbott Construction seeks a Project Engineer in Seattle to support the Project Manager and Superintendent across all project phases. You will help meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and budget revisions in Viewpoint, plus coordinating planning, scheduling, and estimating activities with subcontractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test.
• 4-year degree in a construction-related major.
• 2+ years of project engineering experience.
• Preferred TI or grocery construction experience.
• Focus on following processes and owning the role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the submittal process.
• Manage the RFI process.
• Manage the change order proposal process.
• Provide research, backup support, legwork, data entry, etc. as requested by PM and Supt.
• Complete budget revisions and modifications in Viewpoint as required.
• Assist to maintain a high level of safety in alignment with Abbott's core values.
• Combine knowledge of engineering methods, construction methods and people management.
• Support planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to meet deadlines.
• Assist estimating by soliciting subcontractors and distributing plans.
• Be the main contact for subcontractors as requested by PM.
• Act as Project Manager when PM is unavailable.
