Job summary

CoolSys is recruiting a Project Engineer to own energy projects from proposal through commissioning, including cogeneration units and standby generators for hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities.

You will manage scope and budget, perform mechanical/electrical design and calculations, and prepare proposals with outside engineers as needed. The role requires AutoCAD expertise and clear technical writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years in project engineering or project management (energy, power generation).
• AutoCAD skills, technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, etc. across several projects at once.
• Do mechanical and electrical design, equipment selection and calculations, and coordinate with outside engineers when needed.
• Create layouts, one-line diagrams, P&IDs in AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Run site surveys and prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and technical proposals.
• Maintain contacts with the clients, vendors, subcontractors and field technicians.
• Oversee installation, startup and commissioning, and ensure compliance with safety rules and codes.
