Job summary

Willmeng Construction, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in meeting financial and scheduling goals.

You will contribute to a safe, high-quality delivery and assist in budget and documentation tasks throughout startup to closeout. The role requires 3–5 years in construction engineering, HVAC knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction engineering experience.
• Mechanical experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a collaborative environment.
• Proficient in construction software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with subcontractors and subcontracts as needed in areas such as scope review, change orders, buyout and communication.
• Manages the billing process in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Assist the superintendent with items such as assembling RFIs, research, supervise subcontractors and permits.
• Coordinates and assembles project close out documents; warranty/operations and maintenance manuals.
• Manages document control of RFIs, submittals, procurement, change orders, correspondence, permits, drawings, specs, punch lists, as-builts, and reports.
• Handles requests from clients, subcontractors or superintendents such as warranty work, drawing reading and transmittals.
• Participates in budget process and monthly budget meetings with the PM.
