Job summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support Phoenix projects. You will mentor teams, coordinate with the superintendent, and assist in document control, RFIs, and shop drawings.

This role emphasizes safety, quality plans, and active collaboration with trade contractors and interns. The position requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture, and up to 8–12 months of field experience.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Experience coordinating field activities and teams on construction projects.
• Familiarity with formwork, self-perform work, subcontracted scopes and scheduling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections, orientations, and safety practices on site.
• Coordinates with the superintendent on workforce planning.
• Supports project engineers and superintendents with RFIs, shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Participates in supervision of self-perform scopes and labor tracking.
• Develops positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Assists in creating and enforcing quality plans and ITPs.
