Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Project Engineer to provide essential day-to-day support to the Proposal Lead and cross-functional team, ensuring on-time, high-quality proposals. You will coordinate planning, scheduling, data flow and documentation across engineering disciplines.

The role involves formulating engineering programs, reviewing designs for compliance, and coordinating activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and problem resolution within the program scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.

Acting as the operational backbone of the proposal effort, they ensure that schedule, data, and documentation flows smoothly across all disciplines.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule and technical scope.
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
  • High-pressure resilience and ability to meet agressive timelines.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
