Job summary

ICON is seeking a Project Engineer to support our Design-Build team in Austin, TX. You will coordinate between design, engineering, and field operations, ensuring alignment of design intent with construction execution and schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in design-build or GC environments, strong documentation discipline, and experience with Procore, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam to manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting design-build or general contracting projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, detailing, and technical coordination.
• Experience with document control systems (Procore, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary conduit between design and construction teams to ensure alignment of design intent and construction priorities.
• Manage flow of RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications between architects, engineers, and field teams.
• Coordinate with Design, Structural, MEP, and Print Operations teams to ensure constructibility of details for 3D-printed systems.
• Track design revisions and distribute updated documents to stakeholders.
• Maintain complete project documentation including drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and minutes.
