Metric DCX is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Electrical for its Data Center and Mission Critical team. You will lead client-facing projects valued at $100M+, coordinating with clients, vendors, and field teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of critical electrical infrastructure and white space fit-out.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical construction PM and hands-on experience with IT/telecom/data center projects, including distribution systems and cabling.

Data Center Construction | Project Manager | Electrical

Partnered with an ENR electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Electrical to join its growing Data Center and Mission Critical team. This is a client-facing opportunity for an experienced electrical construction professional who has delivered large-scale, complex projects and understands the unique requirements of Data Center electrical infrastructure, distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-out.

The Project Manager will report directly to senior leadership and will have responsibility for the successful delivery of projects valued at $100M+, working closely with clients, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies and procedures.
• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and adherence to national safety standards.
• Generate estimates and review project proposals.
• Establish project timelines, budgets, manpower requirements, and resource allocation for projects valued at $100M+.
• Oversee project execution to ensure design, budget, schedule, quality, and client requirements are achieved.
• Work directly with customers to understand and deliver against expectations before, during, and after project completion.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Drive project billing and collections throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, employees, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Assist senior leadership with forecasting future labor and material requirements.
• Provide regular project reporting, updates, and financial information to senior management.
• Forecast project financial performance and implement corrective action where required.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and execution plans.
• Manage RFPs, change management processes, and change documentation.
• Mentor and develop project team members and junior staff.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery, communication, organization, and leadership.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of Electrical Construction Project Management experience.
• 1+ years of experience delivering large-scale, complex IT/Telecommunications Infrastructure projects, including Data Centers.
• Demonstrated experience with Data Center electrical distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-out.
• Experience working on retrofits within operational facilities and projects involving cross-discipline critical facility systems.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems.
• Ability to remain organized and composed while working under tight deadlines and external pressure.
• Strong scheduling, delegation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems tactfully.
• Commitment to continued development of communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Mission Critical / Data Center construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, combined with relevant industry experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and industry experience will also be considered, including a Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• PMP or PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
• Experience using Google Suite, Salesforce, and ConEst.
