Job summary

Corevia Search seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading General Contractor on a major 400MW data center project in the Midwest. You will work with the Project Manager to drive delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities include coordinating subs and design teams, managing RFIs and submittals, reviewing drawings, and tracking progress in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading General Contractor delivering a major 400MW data center project in the Midwest USA. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a major mission-critical construction project and work alongside an experienced project delivery team on one of the largest data center developments in the region.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team, supporting the successful delivery of the project from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day project delivery.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and design teams.
• Managing RFIs, submittals, technical documentation and project correspondence.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and design information.
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Tracking project progress, programme and deliverables.
• Supporting quality control and ensuring work is delivered to project specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

Required Skills

• 2–3+ years of Project Engineer experience.
• Previous experience working on mission-critical construction projects.
• Experience working for a General Contractor / Construction Manager preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.

Preferred Skills

• The project you will be working on is a 400MW data center, but previous data center experience is not a requirement.
• We are interested in candidates who have worked on other mission-critical projects, such as:
• Semiconductor facilities
• Pharmaceutical / life sciences facilities
• Advanced manufacturing
• Critical infrastructure
• Other highly technical or mission-critical construction environments

Pay range and compensation package

• Base salary: Up to $150,000
• Annual bonus: 20%
