Job summary

Gutridge, a leading construction and service company in central Ohio, seeks a Project Engineer/Coordinator to support pre-construction, submittal, and post-construction activities. The role involves estimation meetings, contract routing, document control, and coordination of submittals and deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Construction Management or Business Management (or be enrolled) and at least one year of related experience, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe

Qualifications

• Completion of or current enrollment in a degree program in Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or in a similar role within a construction environment.
• Alternatively, three or more years of experience in a similar position or in a high-level administrative role may be considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly estimation meetings and record status of estimation activity.
• Facilitate contract routing and review process.
• Attend turn-over meetings and file records.
• Set up folder structure in company drive.
• Track project permits.
• Work with Project Managers in developing budgets.
• Review project specifications and ensure contract specs are adhered to.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals and transmittals.
• Update submittal log and keep Project management abreast of status.
• Upload and maintain the most up to date drawing set and communicate changes.
• Coordinate logistics and material release schedules with Project Managers.
• Create Scope of Work and subcontractor agreements.
• Issue Purchase Orders.
• Monitor PTO requests and daily reports.
• Record meeting minutes and update job folders.
• Assist Project Manager with Claims handling.
• As Built Management and Warranty management.
• Service contract offerings and continuous improvement activities.
