Job summary

Findorff in Lexington, KY is seeking a Project Engineer Co-op for Summer and Fall 2027 (May/June 2027 - December 2027). You will work with our travel team on all phases of construction, gaining hands-on experience in preconstruction, estimating, project coordination, and field operations.

This entry-level role targets students pursuing Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fields and offers exposure to RFIs, submittals, document control, and coordination with

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Comfortable using technology with strong computer skills.
Interest in building a career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with RFIs, submittals, document control, and project communication.
Participate in team meetings, take meeting minutes, and help with short-term planning.
Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Gain exposure to quantity takeoffs, bid package preparation, and basic estimating activities.
Support field operations with material coordination, progress tracking, and safety walks.
Learn project systems & tools like Bluebeam and Procore and support document updates.
