Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. in Arizona is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate technical activities on Land Development projects. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering work, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and act as the liaison with clients and agencies.

The role requires a BSCE (ABET), 5+ years of land development experience, and a P.E. license or ability to obtain one. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Project is preferred; strong leadership and mentoring skills

Qualifications

BSCE from ABET-accredited college/university.
Five+ years of engineering experience on land development projects.
Registered and active P.E., or ability to obtain P.E. license.
Strong management and leadership skills with ability to mentor E.I.T.s.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office/Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing a project team including E.I.T.s, CAD designers, sub-consultants and contractors.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate financial and technical aspects of projects.
Coordinate Construction Phase Services including site visits, bid docs, submittal reviews and pay apps.
Identify, interpret, and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversight.
Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations and criteria.
