Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Civil Engineer- E.I.T. in Scottsdale to support residential and site development projects. You will assist feasibility studies, produce design plans, and help with regulatory submittals and construction administration.

The role requires an ABET-accredited BS in civil engineering, an active E.I.T. license, and 1+ years in land development. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office is preferred; ArcGIS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from ABET-accredited college; must be an active E.I.T. in the state
• 1+ years of engineering experience in land development projects (residential preferred)
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office; ArcGIS preferred
• Willingness to learn, strong interpersonal skills, and good time management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; analytical thinking

Responsibilities

• Assist feasibility investigations for new projects, including costs and schedules
• Support design plan production for regulatory submissions and approvals
• Assist Project Manager with design tasks, reports, and construction administration
• Prepare engineering calculations for infrastructure, drainage, grading, and pavement
• Attend progress and agency meetings; stay updated on regulatory criteria
