Job summary

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication, and safety orientation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with submittals, change orders, work planning, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead safety orientation sessions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in using construction software and technology.
• A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of promoting safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing all aspects of heavy highway construction projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Preparing and submitting project documentation including plans, estimates, schedules, and reports.
• Managing change orders and ensuring that all changes are accurately documented and communicated to all relevant parties.
• Leading safety orientation sessions and ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
• Maintaining up-to-date photo documentation of project sites.
• Participating in project meetings and providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Conducting site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
