Job summary

ATS Automation, Inc. in Tacoma, Washington, is seeking a Project Engineer to design and engineer building automation and energy management systems, following local energy codes and project documents. You will interface with customers, manage subcontractors, and lead project teams.

You will analyze control and mechanical performance, develop programming solutions, build front ends for end users, and conduct owner training while tracking project finances and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Exposure to electronics and basic electrical circuits.
• Experience with basic programming concepts.

Responsibilities

• Act as the project manager for designs, interfacing with customers and managing subcontractors.
• Provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance.
• Create project-specific programming solutions to optimize efficiency.
• Build front ends for end users to interface with systems.
• Conduct owner training as part of project closeout.
• Track project financials through monthly audits and reviews.
• Provide feedback on standards and participate in improvements.
