Job summary

ATS Companies is seeking a Project Engineer to design and engineer building automation and energy management systems for diverse facilities. You will analyze performance, create programming solutions, and interface with customers and project teams to deliver high-performing systems.

The role blends office work with on-site project visits, requiring strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach. A background in engineering and knowledge of DDC/PLC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Electronics familiarity and basic electrical circuit knowledge.
• Experience with basic programming concepts.
• Experience with mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DDC theory and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer building automation and energy management systems.
• Analyze system performance at campus level and ensure documentation.
• Develop custom programming solutions to optimize efficiency.
• Build front ends for end-users to interface with systems.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team.
• Program DDC and PLC systems to meet project specs.
• Track project financials through audits and reviews.
• Contribute to company standards and continuous improvement.
