Job summary

ATS is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Critical Facilities team. You will design and engineer building automation and energy management systems in line with local energy codes and project documents.

Responsibilities include analyzing system performance, developing DDC/PLC programming, building user interfaces, interfacing with customers and subcontractors, and supporting project financials and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical is common.
• Exposure to electronics and basic electrical circuits.
• Experience with basic programming concepts.
• Knowledge of DDC theory and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer building automation and energy management systems per local codes and project documents.
• Analyze system performance at campus level and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance at multiple levels.
• Create project-specific programming solutions to optimize building efficiency and performance.
• Build front ends for end-users to interface with the system.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and project team members.
• Program complex DDC and PLC systems to meet project specs and mechanical requirements.
• Track project financials through monthly audits and end-of-project reviews.
• Contribute to company-wide standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
