Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Iowa City is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer within the Advanced Facilities group to support core project tasks on industrial and data center initiatives.

You will assist with QA/QC, learn estimating and change management, monitor on-site activities, prepare reports, and collaborate with foremen, subcontractors and the project team to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Entry level construction experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lears and participates in safety and quality plans to promote an injury-free environment.
• Participates in project QA/QC planning for tasks.
• Learns estimating and change management processes and tools.
• Works on site with the project team to monitor manpower, materials and equipment.
• Prepares and disseminates daily and weekly reports and other documentation.
• Supports project closeout tasks including punch lists and manuals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
