Job summary

PK USA is seeking a project liaison role to coordinate between internal departments, customers and suppliers to ensure on-time project launches within budget, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The position involves budgeting support, documentation creation, cross-functional project management, and active involvement in pre-production builds and customer communications.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or 2-year college degree with relevant work experience.
  • Background in mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge in Industrial automation, CNC machining or automated Mig welding preferred.
  • Experience actively participating in and/or managing projects and project teams preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Budget: assist in creation and management of project budgets.
  • Documentation: create operation standards, APQP/PPAP docs, BOMs, schedules, part sketches, materials lists, layouts, and process plans.
  • Project Management: oversee cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with metrics and PDCA.
  • Customer Support: support pre-production builds and shipments, customer visits, part approvals, communicate changes internally.
  • Project Launch: track startup, manufacturing support, improve cell efficiency, troubleshoot, study cycle times.

Description

This position is responsible for acting as a liaison between internal departments, customers & suppliers ensuring projects are launched on time, within budget, with a focus on safety and quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Budget – Assist in creation and the managing of project related budgets in regard to manpower, customer tooling, capital equipment and other department or project needs.
  • Documentation – Ability to create Operation standards, APQP/PPAP documents, Bills of materials, project schedules, part sketches, material/parts lists, plant layout designs, purchased components lists, process engineering plans.
  • Project Management – Oversee internal and external cross-functional project teams and/or vendors to ensure successful project execution using performance metrics, schedule management, issue tracking, and corrective action planning while driving continuous improvement through PDCA principles.
  • Customer Support – Support pre-production builds and shipments, customer visits when applicable, part approvals, communicate engineering/customer changes internally.
  • Project Launch – Initial start-up tracking, manufacturing support, work cell efficiency improvements, trouble shooting, cycle time studies.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate new sources for tooling, equipment, materials, and purchased parts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Business Travel:
  • Employee must have ability for light business travel as required by project needs for Customer/Supplier visits & Equipment run-offs, as required.
Requirements
