Ryan Companies US Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team on a Denver construction project. The role emphasizes learning Ryan processes, policies, and field and office operations on-site for at least six months, with potential duration through the project.

You will learn safety procedures, site logistics, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and the project team while developing as a contributor on designated projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field required.
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing as part of project work.
  • Ability to understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost-coding systems.

Responsibilities

  • Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
  • Learn project dimensional control and verify dimensions against shop drawings.
  • Assist in coordinating and tracking Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand overall site logistics.
  • Participate in city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
  • Update office and site plans with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Attend Punchlist inspections with Ryan personnel and Owner; record items and monitor completion.
  • Assist in preparing and updating the project schedule.

Ryan Companies is hiring for a Project Engineer in Denver. The Project Engineer assists the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies. The position objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project. This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies. Some things you can expect to do:
  • Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
  • Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
  • Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.

To be successful in this role: you must have knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing. A bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required. You must be able to perform mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems. You also must be able to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $69,900 - $87,400. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
