Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Tampa, FL seeks a Project Engineer Intern to support the project team while learning construction industry processes, policies, and Ryan business practices.

You will gain hands-on experience with budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, change orders, and job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety as you contribute to designated projects during a three-month term.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or closely related field.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and understand contracts, specs, and drawings.

To be successful in this role

• You must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or closely related field and within 18 months of graduating.
• Be able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three‑month term.
• Have a general knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
• Have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Possess the ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.
• Communicate clearly orally and in writing.

Compensation

The hourly base pay range is $20 - $25 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or incentive program.
