  • 2 years of experience in the construction industry with focus on demolition.
  • Proven track record delivering construction projects from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of construction procedures and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Understanding of rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review plans and work with management to develop project objectives and phases.
  • Calculate time frames and sequence project stages.
  • Prepare and update project schedules and monitor progress.
  • Review status reports and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate workers and subcontractors; ensure proper techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

Responsibilities
  • Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project.
  • Calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
  • Prepare and update project schedules while monitoring the progress of the project.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required.
  • Work with the project team to ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future project plans based on lessons learned from completed projects.
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on demolition.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing and delivering construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
  • PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
