Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer in Broderick, CA to lead engineering efforts on diverse structures and transportation systems. You will oversee technical development, coordinate with project management, and ensure timely, compliant delivery of complex projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, at least 5 years of related experience, strong CAD skills, and proven project management and leadership abilities. On-site position with great benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.
• Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Responsibilities

• Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small to large-scale projects in coordination with the project manager.
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems or deficiencies.
• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
• Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
• Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
• Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
• Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects.
