Job summary

Nautilus Homes in Sarasota, FL is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support Project Managers and Superintendents while learning every stage of custom residential construction. You will coordinate projects, review drawings and documents, process RFIs and submittals, and help maintain schedules with field and office teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of internship/entry-level experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support Superintendent and Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Process and enter RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Track project schedules and construction progress.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor quality and field coordination.
• Help maintain accurate project records using construction management software.
• Assist with material procurement and delivery coordination.
• Identify potential issues early and help develop practical solutions.

What You'll Do
