Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineer.
Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Our team welcomes individuals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide support to the Project Manager and Superintendent on a variety of earthwork and general civil construction projects.
- Monitor and track production quantities and project costs; report progress and variances to the Project Manager.
- Conduct quality control throughout job site processes
- Maintain project schedules by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and proactively addressing issues.
- Coordinate subcontractor schedules and oversee quality of work to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations based on findings.
- Assist with a broad range of project management responsibilities across earthwork, demolition, and civil construction projects.
Position Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant construction experience; coursework or background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in challenging or fast-paced environments
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude
- Proven reliability, including initiative and consistent follow-through on responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Travel will be required for this position
