Job summary

Rachel Contracting, Inc. seeks an Internship Estimator/Project Manager to support civil construction projects in Minnesota.

You will collaborate with engineers and estimators to prepare bid documents, review project plans, and assist in scheduling and documentation management. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (Sophomore–Senior) with strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review project plans to support successful project execution.
• Assist with bid preparation and document management, including quantity takeoffs and review of project documents.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules to keep projects on track.
• Support project management activities for earthwork, demolition, and general civil construction projects.

Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified candidates for an Internship Estimator/Project Manager .

Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Our team welcomes individuals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinate and review project plans to support successful project execution.
• Assist with bid preparation and document management, including quantity takeoffs and review of project documents.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules to keep projects on track.
• Support project management activities for earthwork, demolition, and general civil construction projects.
• Light travel may be required.

Position Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Related construction experience and currently enrolled or working towards a college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Currently pursuing a college degree with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrate positive teamwork

• Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to effectively prioritize
