Position Description

Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for a Project Engineer to support our Estimating/Project Management Department. We are a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition, and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. We value individuals passionate about their work, committed to delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Assist Project Manager and Superintendent on various earthwork and civil construction projects.
2. Track production quantities and costs, reporting to the Project Manager.
3. Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
4. Manage subcontract schedules and monitor work quality.
5. Prepare project status reports, analyze data, and recommend actions.
6. Support project management duties for earthwork, demolition, and civil construction projects.
7. Travel may be required.

Requirements and Preferences

• Related construction experience and current enrollment or pursuit of a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication skills.
