A structural engineering consulting firm is hiring full-time experienced Project Engineers for their Philadelphia office. Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, team‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of single‑family, multi‑family, or commercial construction methods preferred
  • Advanced understanding of gravity and lateral design
  • Technical expertise in performing structural engineering calculations, both manually and with design software
  • Experience producing construction documents using AutoCAD or Revit preferred
  • Wood‑frame design experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
  • Work with Project Managers and Staff Engineers designing and documenting houses, offices, apartments, or mixed‑use buildings
  • Design gravity components including beams, columns, and footings
  • Design lateral systems including shear walls and moment frames
  • Review shop drawings
  • Conduct field work, including site visits and construction observation
