Job summary

Mulhern+Kulp Structural Engineers in San Diego is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer to join our growing team. You will work with Project Engineers on designing and documenting houses, offices, and mixed-use buildings, contributing to gravity and lateral system design, and reviewing shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of experience is typical for entry-level staff engineers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT certification preferred.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Engineers designing and documenting houses, office, apartment, or mixed-use buildings.
• Design gravity components including beams, columns, and footings.
• Design lateral systems including shear walls and moment frames.
• Review shop drawings.
• Conduct field work, including site visits and construction observation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0-4 years’ experience
