Job summary

Mulhern+Kulp Structural Engineering is seeking entry-level Staff Engineers to join their Ambler office just outside Philadelphia. You will support designing houses, offices, apartments, and mixed-use buildings, working with project engineers to document gravity and lateral systems.

The role emphasizes strong technical and analytical skills, effective communication, and teamwork. EIT certification is preferred; ABET-accredited degree required.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Engineers designing and documenting houses, office, apartment, or mixed-use buildings
• Design gravity components including beams, columns, and footings
• Design lateral systems including shear walls and moment frames
• Review shop drawings
• Conduct field work, including site visits and construction observation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0-4 years’ experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (from an ABET-accredited university)
• EIT certification preferred
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred, but not required
