Job summary

Mulhern+Kulp Structural Engineering is hiring full-time entry-level Staff Engineers for our Alpharetta office just outside Atlanta. We are a growing firm with 140+ staff, collaborating with architects, builders and developers on nationwide projects.

The role offers hands-on design work on houses, offices and mixed-use buildings, including gravity and lateral systems, construction observation, and field visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 0–4 years' experience in structural engineering or related field.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Engineers designing and documenting houses, offices, apartments, or mixed-use buildings.
• Design gravity components including beams, columns, and footings.
• Design lateral systems including shear walls and moment frames.
• Review shop drawings and conduct field work, including site visits and construction observation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0-4 years' experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (from an ABET-accredited university)
• EIT certification preferred
• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred, but not required
