Job summary

Monarch Build in Overland Park, KS seeks a detail‑oriented project coordinator to keep RFIs, submittals and shop drawings moving. You will run meetings, support Project Managers and Superintendents and ensure documentation flows from procurement through punch list.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (or equivalent), plus proficiency in Procore, MS Project and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and run progress, OAC, and pre-installation meetings.

Responsibilities

• Keep RFIs moving: manage questions to design team/owner and communicate answers to field and trade partners.
• Run submittal process: build procurement letters, track shop drawings, schedule follow-ups weekly on critical items.
• Support field operations: work on-site with Superintendent, coordinate deliveries, and keep field set current.
• Prepare meeting agendas for progress and OAC meetings, run pre-installation meetings, and distribute minutes within 48 hours.
• Document weather/delays, send transmittals, and manage pricing requests, ASIs and drawings to the team.
• Lead closeout: finalize punch list, collect as-builts, and ensure OM manuals are complete.

You keep RFIs, submittals and shop drawings moving, run the meetings that keep everyone aligned, and give our Project Managers and Superintendents the documentation they need to build it right the first time. From procurement through punch list, you'll see how a building comes together from every angle, and grow your career alongside the people building it.

About the Company

Monarch Build is a local commercial general contractor based in Overland Park, Kansas. We build for healthcare, dental, education, financial, corporate, retail, and sports and recreation clients, and we believe great construction starts with great relationships.

Responsibilities

• Keep the questions moving. Run the RFI process in Procore: check the documents first, send questions to the design team or owner, and get answers back to the field and our trade partners.
• Run the submittal machine. Build procurement letters from the submittal register and schedule, track shop drawings, and follow up every week on critical items.
• Back up the field. Spend real time on the jobsite, work through open issues with the Superintendent, coordinate deliveries and keep the field set current.
• Own the meeting notes. Prepare agendas for progress and OAC meetings, run pre-installation meetings, and get minutes out within 48 hours.
• Keep the record straight. Document weather and other delays weekly, send transmittals, and get pricing requests, ASIs and drawings to the whole team.
• Stick the landing. Lead closeout: close the punch list within 30 days, collect as-builts, and make sure every O&M manual is complete.
• Help keep everyone safe. Join safety walkthroughs with the Superintendent and complete OSHA 10-hour training.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or an equivalent mix of education, training and experience.

Pay range and compensation package

• Full-time and salaried, based in our Overland Park office with regular time on jobsites across the Kansas City metro.
