Position Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the overall leadership and successful and timely delivery of complex multimillion-dollar, fast-track, heavy-civil, highway, and bridge projects from pre-construction through project execution and completion.

Responsibilities

1. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses, to promote a safety-first culture.
2. Manage or perform project activities depending on project complexity, including safety, leadership of field engineers, and project planning.
3. Develop and implement construction strategies, work plans, and schedules.
4. Participate in project management planning, including CPM scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
5. Maintain open communication with all project stakeholders, including JV partners, owners, subcontractors, and designers.
6. Oversee project execution, including procurement, submittals, RFIs, quality control, and documentation.
7. Provide technical support for construction planning and interpretation of design documents.
8. Manage project close-out activities, including punch lists and system turnovers.

Qualifications

1. Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent experience.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, and preferably HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6.
3. Minimum of five years' experience in heavy civil construction.
4. Understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
5. Valid Driver's License and ability to access all parts of a construction site.
