Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform field engineering management, inspections, construction and commissioning management, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and assist in contractor selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams to complete project activities safely, within budget, on schedule, and with quality assurance.

Responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Overseeing safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety analyses, toolbox meetings, audits, and HSES events.
  • Managing receipt and inspection of materials, handling non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Managing project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Managing external/internal suppliers and ensuring scope coverage.
  • Expediting supplier deliveries as needed.
  • Maintaining communication logs with external partners.
  • Developing and managing construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  • Responding promptly to RFIs, managing project changes, and tracking action items.
  • Supporting contract administration and potential dispute resolution.
  • Filling in for the Project Manager when needed.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Project management experience
  • Industrial gas experience
