Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will manage field engineering tasks including inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and oversee site construction and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives, safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards are met.

  • Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety analyses, toolbox meetings, audits, and events.
  • Verify receipt and inspection of materials, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfers.
  • Manage project documentation from development to handover, ensuring quality and specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to meet project scope and delivery goals.
  • Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, report delays, and respond to RFIs promptly.
  • Maintain project communication, support contract administration, and track changes and action items.
  • Maintain knowledge of all project aspects to potentially fill in for the Project Manager.
  • Contribute to developing construction and commissioning strategies during project development.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience managing projects and in industrial gases is a plus
