Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Engineer/Manager to lead and execute complex technical projects in Colorado. You will oversee design, development, and implementation while balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints and guiding cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include developing Statements of Work, providing technical estimation, leading trade studies, mentoring junior engineers, and communicating project status to stakeholders. PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Master’s +3 years acceptable.
Typically 5+ years of related experience.
Strong technical foundation for project/programmatic skills.
Ability to lead small cross-functional teams and projects.
Advanced technical knowledge in the engineering discipline.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
General knowledge of two or more functional disciplines outside of engineering.
Risk and opportunity management knowledge.
Experience communicating across engineering and functional teams.
PMP certification (preferred).
Experience with systems engineering and integration (preferred).
Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera (preferred).
Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools (preferred).
Knowledge of industry standards and PLM (preferred).
Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (preferred).
Experience developing and managing project budgets (preferred).
