Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer to support demolition and carpentry projects across commercial builds. You will assist project managers, read plans, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with field teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3+ years of construction experience, preferably with demolition/carpentry exposure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
• Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing demolition and carpentry projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for accuracy.
• Support scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with field teams, subs, and vendors for efficient workflow.
• Participate in jobsite walks, progress meetings, and safety discussions.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project docs.
• Assist in material procurement, equipment coordination, and logistics planning.
• Monitor field progress and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.

• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking to ensure projects stay on time and within budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3+ years of experience in construction, preferably with exposure to demolition, interiors, or carpentry scopes
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction sequencing, and jobsite operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar)
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred Experience
• Experience working for a subcontractor or specialty contractor
• Exposure to selective demolition, tenant improvements, or commercial interiors
• Field experience or carpentry background is highly valued
