Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer for a top-tier demolition and carpentry subcontractor. The role offers hands-on experience across project management and field operations on diverse commercial projects, with a salary range of $80,000 to $105,000 per year.

You will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors, while reviewing drawings and specs to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3+ years of experience in construction, preferably with exposure to demolition, interiors, or carpentry scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction sequencing, and jobsite operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar).
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing demolition and carpentry projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure project accuracy.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and execution.
• Participate in jobsite walks, progress meetings, and security discussions.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist in material procurement, equipment coordination, and logistics planning.
• Monitor field progress and help identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and project requirements.
