Job summary

F.H. Paschen is seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction team in Irving, Texas.

You will help manage projects, coordinate material procurement, produce schedules, review shop drawings, and assist with field supervision to ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Business, strong written and verbal communication, and familiarity with Blue Beam, Revit and Procore.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Business is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience using construction software and project management tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery.
• Produce project schedules.
• Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals.
• Quote and qualify subcontractor requests for change orders.
• Track status of change orders and RFIs.
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
• Maintain project close-out documents.
• Assist with field supervision.
• Blueprint reading and quantity take-offs.
• Sub-contractor solicitations and correspondence.
• Quality control and subcontractor coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview:

The Project Engineer is a critical component of the project team that works together to manage
a construction project.

Assigned Responsibilities:

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery
• Produce project schedules
• Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals
• Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders
• Track status of change orders
• Track status of Requests for Information
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
• Maintain project close-out documents
• Assist with field supervision
• Blueprint reading
• Quantity take-offs
• Sub-contractor solicitations
• Correspondence
• Quality Control
• Subcontractor Coordination
• Other duties as assigned

• Have knowledge of technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and
  Procore
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required
• Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and
  scheduling is preferred
• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Business is required
• Prior internship experience is a plus
