Job summary

F.H. Paschen is seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction team in Florida. This role supports project teams by coordinating material procurement, scheduling, and reviewing submittals to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will work with Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore, applying strong communication to collaborate with subcontractors and field staff. A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required, with 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years on-the-job experience preferred.
• Experience with Blue Beam, Revit and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery.
• Produce project schedules.
• Review shop drawings and submittals.
• Quote/qualify subcontractor change orders.
• Track status of change orders, RFIs, and as-builts.
• Maintain project close-out documents and assist field supervision.
• Read blueprints and perform quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate subcontractors and prepare correspondence.

Position Overview

The Project Engineer is a critical component of the project team that works together to manage a construction project.

Assigned Responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery.
• Produce project schedules.
• Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals.
• Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders.
• Track status of change orders
• Track status of Requests for Information
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts.
• Maintain project close-out documents.
• Assist with field supervision.
• Blueprint reading
• Quantity take offs.
• Sub-contractor solicitations
• Correspondence
• Subcontractor Coordination
• Other duties as assigned.

• Candidates should have experience with technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a degree related to the built environment is required.
• 2+ years on the job experience is preferred.
