Job summary

F.H. Paschen is seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction team in the Detroit area. You will help manage projects by coordinating materials, schedules, submittals, and changes while supporting field supervision.

You will work with technology like Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore, and contribute to safe, high-quality project delivery with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction or Business required.
• 1–2 years on-the-job experience preferred.
• Experience with construction technology such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery.
• Produce project schedules.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for suitability.
• Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders.
• Track change orders and RFIs.
• Collect and distribute as-builts and close-out documents.
• Assist with field supervision.
• Read blueprints and perform quantity take offs.
• Coordinate subcontractors.

Position Overview:

The Project Engineer is a critical component of the project team that works together to manage a construction project.

Assigned Responsibilities:

• Coordinate material procurement and delivery.
• Produce project schedules.
• Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals.
• Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders.
• Track status of change orders
• Track status of Requests for Information
• Collect, verify and distribute as-builts.
• Maintain project close-out documents.
• Assist with field supervision.
• Blueprint reading
• Quantity take offs.
• Sub-contractor solicitations
• Correspondence
• Subcontractor Coordination
• Other duties as assigned.

• Candidates should have experience with technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
