Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical or related field with 3–5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting project engineering, construction, infrastructure, or geotechnical projects; mining exposure preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

Brunel is seeking a Project Engineer to support a major mining infrastructure project. You will partner with engineering leadership, project teams, consultants, and contractors to oversee detailed engineering activities, coordinate field support, and help deliver critical project objectives safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning, development, and execution of engineering projects and programs.
  • Coordinate engineering consultants through detailed design and field support activities.
  • Review engineering studies, designs, reports, and technical recommendations.
  • Evaluate and administer contracts for engineering services, equipment, and vendors.
  • Provide technical guidance to project stakeholders and site leadership.
  • Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and progress tracking.
  • Promote safe work practices and support compliance with project standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline, with 3 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting project engineering, construction, infrastructure, civil, or geotechnical projects is required. Mining industry experience involving earthworks, structural, concrete, or geotechnical projects is preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Required Technical Knowledge
  • Project engineering and project management principles; civil, geotechnical, structural, and construction engineering fundamentals; Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GoldSim, and Microsoft Project.
